Belgrade Waterfront is one of the few spots in the city where the river, a shopping centre and the old town centre are all within walking distance. We have picked out the places our guests ask about most — from a walk along the Sava to practical things like the pharmacy and the ride to the airport.

From the promenade in front of the building all the way to Kalemegdan — most of it on foot.

Sava Promenada
A riverside walkway running for more than a kilometre and a half, with cafes, fountains and a view across to New Belgrade. It starts practically at the front door.

Kula Beograd and observation deck
The tallest building in Serbia. On the 41st floor is the Belgrade 360 observation deck, looking out over the whole city and the point where the Sava meets the Danube. Entry is via the second floor of Galerija.

Savski park
A green park in the heart of the complex, with a running track, playgrounds and benches by the water. An ice rink is set up here in winter.

Savamala
An old quarter of 19th-century facades, galleries, design shops and bars — industrial heritage meeting the contemporary art scene.

Beton hala
A row of restaurants and cafes in former port warehouses, right on the river, looking across at Kalemegdan. Booking a table is advisable in the evening.

Kalemegdan and the Fortress
The largest city park and the fortress above the confluence of the Sava and the Danube. Entry to the park is free; the Roman Well, Nebojša Tower and the casemates are ticketed.

Knez Mihailova and Republic Square
The main pedestrian street, with shops, cafes and the National Museum. Museum entry is free on Sundays.

Temple of Saint Sava
One of the largest Orthodox churches in the world, with a mosaic in the dome and a crypt below. Entry is free and it is open from 8 am to 8 pm.

Skadarlija
A bohemian cobbled street of old taverns, live music and traditional cooking. It is at its best in the evening.

Shop on the ground floor
Maxi GO is on the ground floor of our building. A larger supermarket is in Galerija, a few minutes’ walk away.

Pharmacies
BENU pharmacies are in the complex and in Galerija. The nearest 24-hour pharmacy is “Sveti Sava” at Nemanjina 2, about a 10-minute walk.

Public transport is free
Public transport in Belgrade is free to use. Several lines stop at Belgrade Waterfront, among them 2A, 3A, 36, 46, 51 and EKO2.

To the airport
The A1 minibus stops at Belgrade Waterfront and runs directly to Nikola Tesla Airport. The A1 ticket is paid separately, around 400 dinars.

Train and bus stations
Belgrade Centar (Prokop) railway station is about 1.5 km away — bus 36 or a taxi. The main bus station is in Blok 42 in New Belgrade.

Taxis and apps
Uber does not operate in Serbia. People use CarGo and Yandex Go, as well as ordinary taxis — always with the meter running.

Parking
The Galerija car park has 3,600 spaces; the first three hours are free, after which it is charged by the hour.

Money and payment
Serbia uses the dinar. Change money at licensed exchange offices, and at cash machines decline the offered conversion into your own currency (DCC) — the rate is worse.
